Homer Rumble Itinerary

Friday Nov 4th:

·         1:35pm Depart Nikiski High School:

·         5:00pm weigh ins

·         6:00 Homer vs Cordova/Su Valley and Nikiski vs Houston

·         7:15 Homer vs. Houston and Nikiski vs Cordova / Su Valley

·         9:00pm overnight at Homer High School

Saturday Nov 5^th:

·         9:00am Weigh ins

·         9:30am Coaches Meeting

·         10:30am Round One

·         12:00pm Round Two

·         1:45pm Round Three

·         3:00pm Round Four

·         4:30pm Consolation & Finals (3 mats (1^st/2^nd), (3rd/4th), (5th/6th), (7th/8th) ) awards given at the conclusion of wrestling.

·         9:00pm Estimated Return time to Nikiski High School.

General Info:
1. Bring Homework. 
2. All wrestlers bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
3. Bring enough money to pay for food Friday and Saturday.
4. Pack your headgear, shoes, singlet, warm up, and shower materials.
5. Pack one extra pair of clean work out clothes
6. Wrestlers also should bring winter clothing.

Other Homer Rumble Info:

All Round Robin and Championship Matches will be 2-2-2.  All wrestlers will get five guaranteed matches with full weight classes (10).

Format:  Wrestlers will be seeded and bracketed much life a freestyle tournament.  Seeds (1,4,5,8,10 will wrestle each other and 2,3,6,7,9 will wrestler each other all one time in four rounds).  There will be four rounds where all wrestlers will wrestle.  Based on their record in their pools, they will then wrestle for places, 9^th & 10^th, 7^th & 8^th, 5^th & 6^th, 3^rd & 4^th and 1^st & 2^nd.  All these matches will be wrestled on three mats.
Schools:  Homer, Houston, Nikiski, Skyview, Seward, Su Valley and Voznesenka.
